Metal Process. Welded steel box beam and box column is widly used in the steel
structure proejct,Since the H-shaped steel column has only one
strong axis, in the case where the force is relatively complicated
at the joint of the beam and column, the first is that the "node
domain" cannot meet the requirements, and the second is according
to the principle of "strongly connecting weak components". When the
internal force of the seismic combination is elastically designed,
the ultimate bearing capacity check cannot be satisfied. Because
the box column is a strong axis in the X and Y directions, and a
stiffening plate at the node, a strong node domain is formed, and
the force condition is superior to that of the rolled H-beam.

show you one of the fabriation method.
One of the fabrication method of box beam & box column:
The box-shaped column is welded by four steel plates, and the
manufacturing process is basically the same as that of the welded
H-shaped steel.
The box-shaped column is cut by the numerical control flame cutting
machine for the column plate cutting. The opening method is carbon
arc gouging and cutting the K-shaped groove. After the blanking is
completed, the straightening correction is carried out. In order to
ensure the accurate assembly of the column body, it is necessary to
prepare the assembled tire. Membrane, the assembly sequence is as
follows: firstly, the upper cover plate is used as a reference,
then the assembly line of the transverse partition plate and the
side web is discharged, U-shaped assembly is performed, and finally
the lower assembly is assembled and welded, and the main body of
the column is welded by submerged arc welding. The welding of the
stiffening plate is manually welded by a welding machine, and
finally the method of welding the electroslag pressure welding of
the separator is carried out, and the arc runner is welded. After
the box column is welded, the straightening correction is
performed, and then the end milling machine is used for the end
cutting. The box column coating is strictly rusted and brushed
according to the standard. After the box column is finished, it
will be inspected and numbered by the full-time quality inspectors.

Fabrication capacity:
We have three H-Section steel production lines, equipped the flame
cutting machine, H-Section steel assembly machine, gantry welding
machine and shot-blasting machine, paint spray booth. We also put
apart the space for the fabrication of heavy-duty and large
structure steel components in our workshop.
